With a passion for dealmaking, Andy founded Copper Run and has led the company through substantial growth. He has completed over $8 billion in transactions while working with hundreds of companies, both public and private, in a variety of industries. His extensive industry experience throughout his career includes working with Cantor Fitzgerald in New York and Ernst & Young in Cleveland. Andy focuses on building organizations, continuous learning, and sharing new experiences with his wife and three sons. He enjoys getting outdoors, fly fishing, wakesurfing, traveling to new places and taking in live music.

Overseeing our Cincinnati office, Shawn drives business development by sourcing new buy-side and sell-side opportunities in the business services, distribution and manufacturing sectors. Previously, Shawn served as a Managing Director at First Financial Bank for over ten years, responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating and closing more than 50 leveraged finance deals. Shawn’s experience also includes credit and relationship management roles at Fifth Third Bank, where he gained expertise in a variety of industry verticals. Shawn believes in the power of loyalty and trust as the building blocks for creating and maintaining quality relationships, both personally and professionally. He prioritizes family and enjoys seeing new places and creating new experiences for them during his time off, though some of that time is spent taking Andy Hays’ money on the golf course.

Michael is responsible for developing key sector-relevant relationships, originating transactions and providing advisory services to private equity firms, and assisting portfolio companies in their growth strategies across a variety of industries. He gained expertise when working in Corporate Strategy and Development at Huntington Bancshares, Inc., where he focused on potential bank targets, strategic acquisitions, divestiture, and joint venture opportunities, utilizing complex merger models and strategic scenario analyses to guide executive and board leadership decision making. Michael enjoys time with family, taking long road trips with screaming children or watching Paw Patrol episodes for the 100th time. He resides with his wife and kids in Powell, Ohio.
