Mr. Van Kirk is a practice leader for closely-held company valuations (estate, FLP, Section 409A) and financial reporting related valuations (ASC 805, ASC 350/360, ASC 718). He also specializes in the valuation of business enterprises, underlying intellectual property and financial opinions of fairness, solvency or capital adequacy. Mr. Van Kirk is an industry leader for such major industries as energy, healthcare, death care services, hospitality, lighting, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and amusement parks.
Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Van Kirk held the position of manager with the Valuation Services Group for the Great Lakes Region of Arthur Andersen. In this capacity, he was responsible for client development, and procurement and management of engagements. He also was an integral member of a team of experts servicing global utility clients.
Mr. Van Kirk holds a master of business administration degree in finance/accounting from the University of Pittsburgh, and a bachelor of business administration degree in economics from Xavier University.
Ms. Marsac specializes in business enterprise valuations and intangible-asset valuations. Additionally, she completes valuations of financial instruments including preferred and common stock in complex structures for publicly and privately held companies and equity derivatives.
Ms. Marsac holds the designations of both chartered financial analyst (CFA) and accredited senior appraiser (ASA). In addition, she holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering, both from Tulane University.
Chad Myers specializes in financial valuation and consulting assignments. His experience includes valuations for purchase price allocation, estate tax planning, limited partnership interests, financing purposes, and equity and business transfers. He also conducts intangible-asset, capital stock and business enterprise valuations. Mr. Myers has considerable experience serving clients in the healthcare and manufacturing industries.
Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Myers was a mortgage analyst with Ohio National Financial Services. In this capacity, he prepared mortgage loan applications/commitments, underwrote new loan opportunities and prepared presentations for investment committee.
Mr. Myers holds the designation of accredited senior appraiser (ASA) from the American Society of Appraisers. In addition, he earned a master’s degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Lawrence specializes in financial valuation and valuation-related assignments. His experience includes valuations for purchase price allocation, estate tax planning, limited partnership interests, financing purposes, and equity and business transfers. He also conducts intangible-asset, capital stock and business enterprise valuations. Mr. Lawrence has considerable experience serving clients in the telecommunications, health care, newspaper publishing, internet software and services, tooling and industrial distribution, manufacturing and various other industries.
Prior to joining Valuation Research Corporation, Mr. Lawrence was an analyst with Stout Risius Ross, where he was involved in the valuation and financial opinions group. In this capacity, he prepared valuations for financial reporting, tax and estate planning purposes.
Mr. Lawrence earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, he holds the designations of both chartered financial analyst (CFA) and accredited senior appraiser (ASA).
